This site is dedicated to all the John and Jane Does.
Let me take a minute to introduce myself. My name is John Doe. I have been in the death care industry for many years. At the age of 11, I knew I wanted to be a mortician ever since I saw my first zombie horror flick. As a child, it was scary yet amazing to see the main character an embalmer working on a dead body late at night, all alone without fear. Listening to classical music and enjoying his line of work.
That’s when I knew what I wanted to be. I wanted to be like that man that wasn’t afraid of working with the dead. The fact that it’s a job, that not everyone can do. Let’s face it, this business is not for everyone. The emotions, the unknown, the dramatic stories, working with the dead, the blood, the smells, etc. It also goes to say, “find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I love my job.
My experience starts from the first-call to the full funeral service including the removal of the deceased. I have gained knowledge and learned tricks of the trade from other well experienced death care professionals. In the previous year’s I have gained wisdom through all the tragic stories and have come to understand when one door closes a window is left open.
